My time this year was slower than last year's time by about 2 minutes (OUCH). I just didn't train like I did last year. I have been running longer runs and more miles but I didn't do my speed intervals =(. I knew I didn't stand a chance of beating my time from last year. My goal was to earn a top 1000 finishers mug. Isn't she beautiful?
I know you are as excited about checking out my stats.
Try and find me in the picture... Do you see me? Ok, here's a hint - I am wearing orange.
Still can't find me? Click Here.
I 'pirated' the pictures from marathonfoto.com. Shame on me. The first is Kelli & Kimberly (congratulations to Kelli for running the whole race). The second & third pic is me (the finish line is in site). Fourth pic is Kelli & Kimberly posing for the camera (show-offs). Fifth pic is more showing off. This time it's the whole group Christopher & Ian Knight (Kimberly's brothers) Kelli & Kimberly. Last but not least is my finisher picture.
There are 4 Generations of Kibbe's represented here.
Mana & Papa were married in 1948. They will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this year. We are also celebrating Papa's 80th birthday this year. We all went to lunch to celebrate with Papa & Mana. The most enjoyable part was hearing uncle Jerry share with us about the life & times of Mana & Papa - we learned some pretty good stuff. More to come... In the meantime, here are more pics.
All the Kibbe grandkids and their spouses. Thanks for the shooter Chad.
Here we are at a nearby river. We all took a turn at swinging from the rope. Papa David screamed louder than the girls as he was swinging on the rope.
The girls baked me a cake - Chocolate cake, Chocolate Frosting, Marshmallows & Whip Cream. YUMMMMM!!!! Click Here to see the rest of the pictures.
The girls birthday party was at The American Girl Bistro here in Atlanta. Overall they had a great experience (Kelli may beg to differ). They had chocolate fondue. FYI, you really should make reservations if you plan on going there. Click here to view the rest of the pictures.
She loves going to the games with her Papa David. He not only allows her to paint her face, He encourages it.
The girls were at the Braves Game With Papa David and Nana earlier this week. Can we say "someone loves the attention?". It's not whether you win or lose but how much of your face is painted that counts.
May 12, 2008 - Kindergarten Graduation at Grayson United Methodist Church (GUMC). This is also where Kelli teaches PreK
This Spring Break i promised my girls I would take them on vacation (since Daddy went on 'vacation' to India without them). We went to Gulf Shores Alabama. I love the white sand beaches. See the Pics.
So far they have shown more interest in floor. They are still learning the basics but they love the cheese... read more
